Product Information

Helly Hansen has borrowed the natural thermal technology of both Merino sheep and Arctic polar bears and combined the two into one thermal base layer technology, the new HH Warm.

HH Warm is a sandwich construction and for 2006, HH has drastically improved the quality and functionality of both the outside of HH warm fabrication.

On the inside next to skin HH has employed a new, polar bear-like hollow fibre technology to the production of the LIFA fabric that acts to trap more heat, while still allowing the maximum moisture transfer and a lighter weight - technology called T³. On the outside HH Warm uses a layer of the finest quality Merino wool, straight from the source in New Zealand, offering not only better insulation but also Merino wool' s world-reknowned luxurious soft feel and excellent flexibility.

By combining the effective moisture management of LIFA with the insulation properties of wool, HH Warm is the ultimate cold weather killer for the active outdoors.

Base Layers:
A base layer is designed to wick moisture away from your skin. That means you stay comfortable when you're working hard and perspiring. More importantly, you don't get chilled when you stop. In summer, wear a base layer on its own. When the weather takes a turn for the worse, you can add a fleece or other wicking mid layer for insulation. A breathable windproof or waterproof outer layer completes the system and will keep you warm and comfortable in all conditions.
