Rossignol Scratch Steeze Skis 2008- The widest scratch ski ever to grace the Rossignol line has arrived in 2008. Introducing the latest technology for the deepest pow, Rossignol has designed the ultimate ski for the rider who wants the “super wide” stick for backcountry – the 2008 Rossignol Scratch Steeze. These skis feature a patented core design that optimizes flex and reduces weight by 800g. All this for improved balance, rotation and higher boosts as well as more snap on take-offs and landings. The Mini Rossitop cap strengthens the top of the ski and is resistant to chipping for increased durability. Featuring the brightest graphics in the 2008 line, the Rossignol Scratch Steeze Skis are here to make some noise.

• Weight Reduction System, (WRS)- Patented core design. The strands of fiber in the core and fiberglass are aligned with the sidecut shape, so the core has an increased concentration of fibers under the foot and less in the tip and tail. This new orientation optimizes flex and reduces weight by 800g. The lighter weight at the extremities gives the skier improved balance, rotation, and higher boosts, while the dense concentration of fibers underfoot maintain stability for more snap on take-offs and landings.
• Mini Cap- The Mini Rossitop cap strengthens the top of the ski and is resistant to chipping for increased durability.
• Rebound Tip- Has a layer of Visco in the tip and tail of the ski to absorb shocks and reduce over flexing.
• Rocking Chair Effect- These skis have softer flexing tips and tails and a stiffer mid-section. This allows the skier to load the tips or tails to spring up on a rail, or pop out of the half pipe, improving balance, aka: the “ollie” effect.
